Young and old were welcome at 'Asterix and Europe’, an exhibition in which the visitor literally walked through the world of Asterix and Obelix. Scenes from the Asterix comics were the starting point for the archaeological story about the daily life during the era of the Roman Empire.
2000 Years ago
The exhibition 'Asterix and Europe’ told the archaeological story about the daily life of Gauls and Romans during the era of the Roman Empire, 2000 years ago. With the comic as the basic thread, the exhibition combined archaeological artefacts with life-size reconstructions of the world of Asterix.
On 16 March 2000, the exhibition was opened by the author of Asterix himself, Albert Uderzo.
