Now on display: Byblos

Visit our new exhibition about Byblos, the world’s most ancient port city, opens. A fishing village that has existed since 6500 BC. was inhabited, grew into a prosperous city on the coast of present-day Lebanon. It became the first international seaport in the world. Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans left their marks. In this large exhibition you will see beautiful masterpieces from the collections of internationally renowned museums, such as the Louvre, British Museum, the National Museum of Beirut and the American University of Beirut Archaeological Museum. On display until 12 March 2023.
