Opening 1 June: Romans along the Rhine

In the family exhibition Romans along the banks of the Rhine (opening 1 June), visitors of all ages can find out how people lived along the banks of the Rhine in the Netherlands 2,000 years ago. The river marked the limes, the northern boundary of the Roman Empire. In the exhibition you will see archaeological finds from fortresses and surrounding villages, such as swords, helmets and sandals, but also toys, ladies’ jewellery, and babies’ feeding bottles.
