Gods of Egypt

This winter, the mystical world of the ancient Egyptian gods comes to life in 'Gods of Egypt'. This large exhibition is entirely devoted to the ancient Egyptian pantheon and brings numerous treasures to the Netherlands.

Ancient Europe

The small exhibition provides an overview of the collecting history of the Ancient Europe collection. This 'forgotten' museum collection consists of objects that come from all parts of Europe and that date from prehistoric times, Roman times.

An eye for elegance

Thanks to a bequest from the pottery specialist Maria Frederika Jongkees-Vos, a number of beautiful objects were added to the Classical World collection in 2018. They include Greek and Roman dishes and cups that were used at mealtimes.

Medieval Gardens

In a show that opens on 2 May 2019, the National Museum of Antiquities will turn the spotlight on medieval gardens. The exhibition will feature stories about plants, herbs, and floral splendour in the Middle Ages, from Europe to the Middle East.
