Academic background and special fields of interest

Jasper de Bruin (b. 1976) studied Archaeology of the Roman Period at the University of Amsterdam and completed a PhD in Roman Archaeology at Leiden University. He takes a particular interest in the Roman archaeology of the Netherlands, focusing on habitation in the Cananefatian region, trade networks, and the Roman Limes. In addition to his activities as curator, De Bruin is also assistant professor in Roman Archaeology at the Faculty of Archaeology at Leiden University.
